Michelle Roessler, Small Animal & Equine Acupressure Practitioner
Chattanooga, TN area
Hi my name is Michelle Roessler. I am a dual-certified practitioner in both Equine and Canine Acupressure. I am planning on taking the National Certification exam for both Canine and Equine Acupressure before I start practicing. I have a Bachelor of Science with a Concentration in Horse Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University with a minor in Biology and Entrepreneurship. I worked as a Veterinary Assistant for a year and half before leaving for MTSU. I interned in Kentucky for about a year, doing Equine Therapy on horses.
I started riding when I was 13 years old. I got my first horse at age 15. She was 3 years old. I still have her and 2 other horses now, along with 1 dog. We have enjoyed Western and English Riding including Trail Riding, Team Penning, 3-Day-Eventing, Hunt Seat On Flat and Over Fences, Saddle Seat, Halter and Showmanship. I received 4-H State Champion in Saddle Seat in 2007 along with several other awards over the years.
I really like rehabilitating horses and seeing them get back or close to being like they were before the injury occurred. I love seeing them happy and seeing them get back to work, enjoying what they do pain-free. Usually when you see horses, not far behind is a dog, which is the reason I decided to work with canines as well. Canines have issues/injuries as well and they need the attention just as much as their equine friends. I look forward to working with your animal’s veterinarian. I will hopefully be based outside of Chattanooga, TN but will be willing to go to states around TN if needed.
