When you register for the full Tallgrass Equine or Small Animal Acupressure Massage Program, there are three Hands-On and eight Online Courses available within the Program. This self-paced, and pay as you progress study program offers a self-directed program and a payment schedule that meets your needs. Whether you are interested in taking care of your own horses, dogs, and cats or you are considering animal acupressure as a career, we look forward to sharing one of the most deceptively gentle, safe, non-invasive, and extremely powerful ancient healing arts that has been used for animals for 1000's of years.

Everyone can participate in any of the Tallgrass courses to learn what they want to learn about animal acupressure. For participants selecting to become trained animal acupressure practitioners we offer a 250-300 Hour Training Program.

Please review the following explanation of how a participant can effectively proceed in acquiring Practitioner Training.


The following is how we believe it is best to proceed through the courses to receive the maximum learning benefit especially if you are becoming an Acupressure Practitioner.

  • 1. ONLINE: Overview of Traditional Chinese Medicine (OTCM) - ($250.00) Upon completion of this course, it is suggested that you take the Meridian Theory online class.

  • NOTE: you may complete online classes 1 - 6 before taking the Introduction to Equine or Small Animal Acupressure / Hands-on 2-Day class or  the Meridians & Specific Conditions 4-Day Hands-On Animal Acupressure Training Course. You may also take the 2-Day Tui Na: Chinese Meridian Massage Course after completing the first 2 online courses of OTCM and Meridian Theory.

  • 2. ONLINE: Meridian Theory   ($275.00)


Two elective courses (40 Hours) are required to complete the Program. To be eligible to sit for the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage (NBCAAM) exam, one of the two electives needs to be a hands-on course of 20 + verifiable hours approved by NBCAAM. The hands-on elective offered by Tallgrass, Introduction to Animal Acupressure and or the Tui Na: Chinese Meridian Massage course qualifies. The electives need not be taken through Tallgrass.  Elective courses may include the study of: essential oils, Reiki, crystals, massage, etc. and preferably in working with animals. Participants are requested to submit copies of certificates, letters or other verification of completion for courses in other complementary therapies to fulfill the elective requirement of (40 hours). It is required that one 20-hour + elective course be a hands-on course approved by NBCAAM.
