Ella Bittel, Holistic Veterinarian – Spirits in Transition Instructor

Ella Bittel has specialized in holistic treatment options for both small and large animals for over 20 years. Veterinary acupuncture (IVAS certified), chiropractic (AVCA certified) and craniosacral work are amongst the modalities she offers. Additionally, she integrates homeopathy, herbs, flower essences and nutritional therapy into her work as well. Ella is a TTEAM practitioner and has assisted Linda Tellington-Jones on two of her Europe tours. Ella studied and certified also with Donna Eden, author of “Energy Medicine”, and adapts Donna’s techniques to support the animals through their aura, chakras and other aspects of their subtle energy systems.
It was shortly after Ella came to the United States from Germany, that she met Nancy, Marie and Amy, and became the technical editor of their books “Equine Acupressure, A Working Manual” and “The Well-Connected Dog: A Guide to Canine Acupressure”. Today, Ella lives and works in California, in beautiful Santa Ynez Valley.
The weekend seminar “Spirits in Transition” developed from Ella’s passion for supporting people in providing hospice care for their animal loved ones. Ella perceives dying and supporting the ones dying as a sacred, precious art.

Elective Course – Equine and Small Animal

Spirits in Transition – Following Their Path all the Way

This course addresses the special needs an animal has when it reaches the end of its physical life span. It inquires why euthanasia has become the most common way of how our four-legged companion’s lives end, and encourages us to embrace the natural dying process as a precious opportunity for our animal to - in its own time- get ready for its departure from the physical realm.
This seminar, while not having its main focus on acupressure, shows how being familiar with its power is a great advantage for anyone considering supporting their animal friend “all the way to the door”.
       Samples of additional topics covered:

• The elements dissolving - the stages of the natural dying process
• Creating an environment conducive to a peaceful transition, whether death occurs naturally or through euthanasia
• How scientific research on subtle energy aspects of the dying process ties in with the insights of ancient masters
• Reducing the risk of cancer for our pet
• Supporting ourselves and grieving animal family members using acupressure and other energy medicine techniques

This course is designed for professional animal healthcare practitioners as well as owners/guardians.
